Current situation: VERY torn regarding whether to go Macquarie or UNSW (god please help).
Although everyone can agree on the fact that post-hsc life has been characterised mostly by time-wasting (on the large part), we have to realise that we are no longer 'children' that still attend high school. By choosing to go to university, we have made the single, most important decision - a decision that will determine what we will do for the rest of our lives. The decisions we make in the present will come to haunt us in the future. We are old enough to make choices for ourselves. In order to make an informed and correct decision, we have to learn to look past parental and peer influences, and do what we think is best for us as it is these choices that will determine WHAT and WHO we will be for the rest of our lives. By allowing ourselves to be influenced by outside pressures means that the decision that we are making is not truly the right one for us.
I cannot help but feel worried and nervous, as I know that the choice I make now will determine my life forever.
Signing out,
Apollo
